Our meal began with focaccia bread accompanied by a delectable olive tapenade, which I generously spread on my focaccia. We also ordered the grilled octopus salad, which was delightful; the octopus had a wonderful smoky flavor and was served on a bed of greens with a hint of orange.
The cioppino itself was outstanding, featuring mussels, prawns, clams, and chunks of fish. The sauce was absolutely delicious, and Francesco prepared some homemade fettuccine pasta cooked al dente for us to enjoy with the extra sauce.
To top off our wonderful dining experience, Francesco presented us with a delightful orange gelato for dessert, along with a rich, special blend espresso and an almond biscotti...
Delizie is definitely one of my top spots to eat in San Carlos. The food is amazing! It's conveniently located close to the San Carlos Caltrain Station and offers a nice mix of indoor and outdoor seating. Francesco, the owner, along with the entire staff, are exceptionally friendly. I've never had a bad experience there, whether I stayed for a meal or just grabbed something to go. Some of my favorite dishes include the Burrata e Prosciutto, Fusilli alla Calabrese, and Tortelloni with asparagus. Highly recommend giving Delizie a try!
Wow, this restaurant is outstanding! After years of dining at Delizie, I’m finally writing a review, especially after visiting another Italian restaurant that just didn’t compare. It really made me appreciate Francesco and his team even more—shame on me for straying! We spend months in Italy, and Delizie offers some of the most authentic Italian cuisine in the Bay Area. We always have an amazing experience of visiting Delizie. I live in Florida and every time I come to California, I make time for dinner in this charming and cozy restaurant. Genuine Italian, delicious dishes, amazing Focaccia and impeccable service. I love the Risotto with Porcini, accompanied by a good Primitivo and the Cannoli with Alla Siciliana! Very recommended!

My wife and I truly enjoy every visit to our favorite Southern Italian restaurant in San Carlos. The food is some of the most authentic I've experienced outside of Italy.
