The food was nice, but not fantastic. Tasty but not amazing. Lovely spruiker outside sold us on the place and we did enjoy a glass of lovely wine as well as our dinner.I had the gnocchi which wer actually incredible texture wise but I couldn't taste the Gorgonzola in the Gorgonzola sauce really, though it was tasty. My friend enjoyed a steak and said it was very good but her chips were overlooked and dry. Garlic bread was very good.
We looked for wood fired pizza n walked in to Delizio at Lygon. Very disappointed. Ordered two appetizers n took more than 50 min of waiting. Food was below average. Pizza came not wood fired cos the pizza base was totally burned. It was dark n black. Wondered why it could be out of the kitchen by the chef. We were not the only table seating in the restaurant waiting waiting waiting for food.
we chose this restaurant online by reviewing trip advisor and looking at the menu. We booked in for the Sunday night. when we arrived it was hard to find as they were in between restaurant names/refurbishment. the décor inside was beautiful and fresh/modern. we were then advised that 2 dishes weren't available, one of which was why we chose there! this was very disappointing but we stayed
We were persuaded to come in and eat by 'Jamie' who did a great job looking after us the whole night. Lovely atmosphere with really great food. Met some other Kiwis there, and they too thought the food was fantastic. Reasonable prices too.
