After multiple attempts to order a pizza here, I finally got one and wasn’t disappointed. You won’t be disappointed either but to tell you the truth, it’s not worth debasing yourself to get it. I had off on a Thursday so I began calling them when they opened at 11:30. I called over a hundred times and every time I got a busy signal. While doing this, I drove there. I got there at 11:50 and ordered two pies. I had to return at 1:30 to pick them up. Why do they close from 2-4? Why don’t they charge more money for their pizzas to offset the “insane demand”? I get the feeling the owners are not very business savvy. Lucky for them, they make a pretty good pizza. I’m glad I finally got to try it b...
Dave Portnoy was right about his 9.4 rating. Probably the best crust of any pizza that I’ve ever tasted. Crunchy from edge to the center with every bite. Worth the drive and the wait (either get there when they open or call ahead and order). Very friendly staff and a no-frills classic pizza joint interior. What else can one ask for? Right up there with Di Fara pizza and L’Industrie in Brooklyn. A+! Wheelchair accessibility: No wheelchair accessible bathroom but wheelchair accessible entrance and interior.
The phones were really busy which okay I get it, this place apparently has great pizza or so I thought. My husband and I ordered a regular plain pie and a plain Sicilian. The pizza was very dry. It has absolutely NO flavor. This place is not worth the wait or stress over getting through to place an order over the phone. This has to be the worst pizza I’ve ever had. The staff was friendly so kudos for customer service, the pizza was just a flop.
A lot of hype not a lot of flavor. I went an hour out of my way to try this near perfect pizza. Well here is the good: crust is crispy and well done and has a nice texture. Toppings were fresh and very good. Sauce and cheese were bland lacked any flavor. I’m from the Wilkes barre area and Angelo’s, Gerry’s and Sabatinis beat this pizza all day everyday of the week.

If you consider great pizza to be flat, burnt crust topped with orange cheese and flavorless, greasy toppings, then go ahead and indulge. This was one of the worst pizzas I’ve ever had. When I say I’d prefer Little Caesars over this charred, hard mess, you know it’s really not good. I just can’t understand why people would wait for hours to get this!
call ahead to make reservations on the day of your trip and have your order ready. perfect place to eat before catching a somerset patriots game. history buffs will love it! Parking: no lot. find parking on the street. read the signs. Kid-friendliness: old school pizza place. very casual.
The pizza here is amazing, but it's quite a challenge to get! I typically arrive about 20 minutes before they open, and I usually manage to snag a spot to eat in. Their phone lines are always busy, so don't count on being able to call in when they open.
This is tavern-style pizza at its finest. It surpasses Chicago pizza any day of the week, and I've been enjoying Chicago pizza for over 50 years. As for parking, there isn't much available, so it's best to arrive early to secure a nearby spot.

We had some serious high hopes for this place after hearing such great things. Unfortunately it did not live up to the hype. The pizza was tough and felt like a cardboard crust.
