The Der Dorfstadl is a traditional Austrian restaurant on the edge of Kaprun within easy walking distance of the village centre. The welcoming interior is traditional Austrian with some interesting and contemporary interior features. The menu is offered in English which is just as well...although the wine list can be a struggle to translate. In any event we had a great evening. The menu was interesting and all the dishes were freshly prepared and reasonably priced. Although the restaurant was busy and popular with locals, this didn't impact on the service but would suggest reserving a table makes good sense to avoid disappointment. Steak and game were both beautifully presented and delicious...
This time it was our third visit (diner) over some 15 years. It is nice to see that this restaurant keeps the quality and ambience over so many years so that we make sure to visit the place when we are somewhere near. I think...the reservation is necessary as the restaurant was fully booked when we were there (on Thursday). Our favourite are their steaks that you finally cook yourself on the hot stone on your table. The steak and all other dishes were delicious plus you have a bit of exercise as well. When you are in Kaprun, this is must go restaurant.
Uns wurde das Restaurant von Einheimischen empfohlen - uns wir waren sehr zufrieden. Die Preise sind leicht gehoben, aber gut bezahlbar, das Essen abwechslungsreich und sowohl Vorspeise, als auch Hauptspeise wie auch Dessert haben hervorragend geschmeckt. Service in Ordnung, das Ambiente klasse. Selten so toll eine "urige" Atmosphäre umgesetzt. Wir waren gleich beide Abende im Dorfstadl, nachdem wir nicht wirklich glaubten, dass Speisen und Ambiente wohl kaum woanders zu toppen waren. Klare Empfehlung!
Wir waren mit unserem Büro (49 Leute) auf Betriebsausflug und haben den ganzen Abend hier verbracht. Die äusserst nette Wirtsfamilie hat sich inkl. Belegschaft sehr nett um uns gekümmert und hervorragend bekocht. Eine passende Musik, organisiert von dem Wirt selbst, hat den Abend perfekt gemacht. Kurz um, urgemütliche Einrichtung, super Essen und sehr netter Service. Vielen Dank. Wir kommen gerne wieder vorbei.
