As residents we naturally preferred to eat dinner at our host establishment. No booking made but arrived at the table at 8, we were one of the first to arrive. Menu ordered and starter arrived at 8:20. Unfortunately the Main course arrived at 10pm. Waitress said the chef had forgotten our order, sorry and walked away. My partner asked for a half bottle of wine as compensation, which was agreed, but definitely check the bill as they asked 5 times for the room number. The main course finally arrived and was horrible. Roast chicken which was dry, overcooked, tasteless virtually inedible Only the dessert to get through, chose fruit salad and at least it arrived before breakfast. As we are stayin...

we were a group of 10, four of them kids, the kids had their own table beside ours. Our waiter made sure kids were taken care of first, soupe a l'onion was wanted, but not on the menu, Well, out came a large crock filled with fantastic onion soup, cheese and bread and all! it was so good some adults wanted to, so they brought out a bigger hotter crock of soup. the menu was excellent. great variety, everyone was thrilled with their choices, and food was prepared perfect! english was spoken, and the owner came by for a chat, would go again for sure! Thank you for taking such good care of us.

The restaurant has always served excellent food, but the new owner is taking it even further. One of our party wisely decided to order the soup, and no main course, as the soup was an entire turrinne of delicious broth with cabbage, white beans, carrots, and loads of duck meat. The other two of us had the St Pierre, a delicate white fish with buerre blanc and butter marvelous. The coup de grace was the chocolate mousse with Armagnac bliss. Service is excellent, and the owner stopped by each table to be sure everything was perfect.
