My husband and I visited this restaurant at the end of June, and I have been meaning to write about it ever since, but never found the time to do so. Now I have just noticed these negative reviews on TripAdvisor and wish to set the record straight, as I do not agree with them at all. There are hundreds of Italian restaurants in Metz and in the street where we found Di Clara there were also a few. The four of us took a seat at a table with 5 plates and we were told to move to the table next to it with four plates (instead of just moving one plate to the next table). We were now at the end of the terrace which meant that the waiter almost never passed there. Therefore we had to wait a long time to order something. There were two waiters working there which was way too few and the old owner didn't seem to want to help. Apart from that, the food tasted really good. I went to this restaurant with my boyfriend for a dinner. It was the second time we came so I was expecting the nice atmosphere as the firts time. As i wasn' t hungry, we have ordered just one pizza for my boyfriend thinking I would just take a piece and that would be enough. After passing the order, the waiter left and come back 2 minutes later saying owner said it s not possible to order just one meal, it has to be one meal per head. I couldnt believe my own ears, I have never experienced anything similiar..a huge disappointment in treating of the customer,
So glad we couldn't get in to Canada'venture, which was fully booked. There's a huge choice of restaurants in Metz, so we wandered around and eventually found one which looked inviting - Di Clara. The waiter - Boyenne - was the most efficient I have ever seen, happily serving the busy tables single-handedly. The ravioli with spinach and ricotta was gorgeous, as was the rigatoni arrabiata. If you want a good Italian meal in a buzzing restaurant with great atmosphere, we would highly recommend Di Clara.

We had the best Brachetta we've ever had, they where a variety of toppings... artechoke, different meats and cheeses. The pizza we shared was also delicious. We got a bottle of wine and a couple beers, and our bill was only 53€ so the price is good too.They open at 7 and you can sit out front, which was nice in August.
We had a superb meal at this restaurant. Service was friendly and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. Pizzas are delicious with many unusual choices and combinations. Great location right in the old town. Come early on a Friday as they will be full by mid evening.
We arrived early on a Sunday night. A beautiful restaurant. We had a pizza and tortellini. We also had a couple of glasses of wine and enjoyed every minute if it. This is a great restaurant with wonderful attentive service. Will definately go back.
We went there with my girlfriend for a dinner .. the service was ok but the food was very expensive compare to the quality we had.. definitely not recommend this place for dinner !

Very bad staff and food. The staff was very rude and the food was bad. We waited more than 1 hours for just 2 "entree". Really bad experience.
