I saw one bad review and many good reviews when choosing this restaurant, if only I had taken on board the bad one then I wouldn’t have wasted my time and money. When entering there was an unpleasant smell of what I can only describe as stale greasy fat. We shared what was supposed to be a chicken salad to start. Basically it was a bowl of lettuce with a scant offering of boiled chicken scraps off the carcass used to make a stock, I had 6 bone fragments which was most unpleasant. For mains I chose the steak which was far too thin and was served with soggy chips. My wife had the shredded lamb parcels on a bed of watery puréed potato which were no more than adequate. We where on a trip in Salamanca. The restaurant was nice inside but we decided to eat outside to enjoy the warm weather of the area. The place's owner was really nice and kind. The food was amazing and at a really affordable price. I suggest you to try the crunchy lechazo, it was wonderful! The was good balanced and very flavorful in my opinion. There was just a little flaw for me: the waiting times where quite long. Apart from that, it has been a wonderful experience and I would recommend this place to whose are visiting the town!
