Am Rand der Altstadt und nahe des Kneipenviertels liegt das Restaurant. An einem sehr heißen Sommerabend saßen ein paar Gäste draußen an den Tischen, weniger als in den umliegenden Restaurants der Altstadt. Eigentlich ein sicheres Zeichen, dass etwas nicht stimmt. Ich aß das „Saarland Trio“, eine Kombination aus drei verschiedenen Salaten (Lyoner, Eier- und Rindfleischsalat) mit Bratkartoffeln. Wurde relativ aufmerksam und freundlich bedient, das Essen kam bald und war nicht einmal schlecht, aber völlig lieblos auf einer Platte zusammengeschüttet. Stimmt, ich habe schon schlechter gegessen, an der Essensqualität gab es nichts zu mäkeln und der Service stimmte auch für die Tische draußen auf...
The Potato sure is not only excellent at cooking potatoes but also super creative plus if you're a tourist, you get to sample local cuisine at its best. They're also an excellent choice for any customer with dietary requirements...they beautifully and easily accommodated my gluten...free, dairy free allergy and nothing was a problem. Considering its excellent location just off St Johanner Market Square, the prices are great too! Plus they don't close between the lunch and dinner services so super flexible for when you're exploring and have lost track of time
We came here with a big group of relatives. I am very gluten sensitive and they did a really good job. If you like German comfort food and local specialties this is the place to go. Everything was delicious and affordable. They are knowledgeable about...ingredients and allergens are clearly labeled. I had a pork dish with cream sauce and my husband had a sausage and potato dish. Both were gluten free and you can request a menu in English. We also had a potato pancake and cherries dessert that was amazing
Wir haben einen Flammkuchen und einen Spargel-Lyoner-Pfanne gegessen. Beides war vorzüglich und schnell zubereitet, dabei preislich sehr günstig. Das Ambiente ist auch ansprechend sowie die Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken groß. Freundliches Personal.
