Staff was friendly, the food was incredibly tasty and although it was a Holiday Weekend the atmosphere was relaxed and stress-free. As I have food allergies/intolerances I take a look at the menu online to check whether my requirements can be accommodated for. I do so especially when I am out with other people to avoid (possible) unpleasant situations. I love the atmosphere at Die Scherbe and the staff is always friendly. There are a few gluten-free options, but I would always check with the staff that it's for celiac disease (or similar). Then they will be very careful in the kitchen, but they don't have separate work surfaces and cross-contamination cannot be ruled out 100%. I've never had any problems after eating there and it's very delicious.
I went to Die Scherbe twice. first time everything was ok. The second time I ordered a GF breakfast. I received my order with normal bread in the plate. Only after I pointed out that I had ordered a gluten free dish, the staff warned me that they have gluten contamination in the kitchen (including the grill). I wonder what would have happened if they didn't take my order wrong.
very, very friendly service, excellent breakfast, wonderful, shaded and quiet gastronomic garden with a sand play box. perfect for families because the children are busy for a time and they do not have to be careful that they can go on the road. we come back to all, because in gras it is one of the few, family-friendly natives.
