I was going to Recoil range in Monroe NJ which is located less than a mile away from the diner and decided to try the place out. I didn 't know it was here but it seems to be popular. It isn 't a Jersey Diner is more of a luncheonette. The place was crowded full of families on a Saturday morning. I sat at the counter. The place is clean and bright. The staff was hustling but friendly. I ordered their Diner Skillet. It came with a lot of food! Three pancakes, toast, two eggs, hash browns, bacon, a sausage link and ham, with coffee and juice for $14.99! The food was really good. The service was fast and the wait staff was friendly. We have been to the diner plenty of times in the last 8 years that we lived here. For the first time today I have ordered delivery through GrubHub since I knew they closed early and I work from home I figured let's try it. I ordered three meals and couple sides and I can tell you the portions were just as big as they are when you sit inside the restaurant, food looked amazing smells great ! great food for what you pay for I would highly recommend it!! Our go-to is the chopped steak , the patty melt, meatloaf and the gyro!! Veggies are always fresh .. chicken noodle and matzo ballsoup are delicious! It was ok for a basic breakfast. Warmly greeted at the door. You can tell this place has been here a very long time and is frequented by lots of locals. It's right in the heart of downtown Jamesburg. Coffee was good. Had the Florentine omelette with spinach and feta... probably the worst feta cheese I've ever tasted... I don't even think it was feta. My son had the Greek omelette which had the same bad cheese. My wife had basic over easy eggs which were done nicely. Pancakes were good too. It was surprisingly expensive. $57 (including tip) for 3 people is a bit much. Overall the meal was ok. Would I go back? Yes I would, but I wouldn't expect a wow meal.
The staff is always welcoming, i try to make it for breakfast at least once a week. Perfect little family diner with a great all around mood when you walk in. They treat every customer like a regular and the food is delicious and timeless. If ever just looking for an authentic NJ diner experience just stop by and grab a table or sit at the coffee bar, your search is over!

We're visiting from out of town and looked for a breakfast spot, and we found The Diner! We received fantastic and friendly service. The food was very good and delicious. They had potatoes, onions, and grits, which are two of my favorites. I'm excited to go back for dinner tonight. Thank you!
