Happened across this curbside only pickup spot driving in Grosse Pointe and decided to peruse the menu online. WOW what great assortment of unique dishes. Tried the Coriander Chicken w/ coriander chutney, yogurt coconut milk; served w/ green beans pistachios over basmati rice. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the coconut milk with the chutney paired the chicken perfectly. If vegetarian and/or just looking for good Reuben sandwich highly recommend the Grilled Artichoke Reuben w/ carmelized onions, spinach, sauerkraut Swiss cheese Russian dressing on the side. My first carry out from Dish was outstanding! I’m not one to write reviews but I see the others are quite outdated and the locals need to know about the hidden gem we have here. My reference to MP began with the exuberant gal that answered the phone. She may have been the same pleasant lady that brought the order to my car exactly on time! I was more than impressed with the excellent service. But the food is the real star here. I mean I have never had a more delicious, perfectly cooked piece of salmon! The rice pilaf and haricots were a wonderful accompaniment. My husband had the corned beef sandwich and truly enjoyed it. Can’t wait to return!
I've ordered from Dish twice now, each time trying different items for both myself and my husband, and we are absolutely thrilled with how delicious the food is! Even the desserts are amazing! My husband is quite picky with what he eats and doesn't eat meat, but he hasn't had a single complaint about anything yet. I find myself looking at the menu every week to see what new dishes are being offered. The food isn’t rushed; all four dishes and two desserts I've ordered have been incredibly flavorful, and the portion sizes are just right. It’s fantastic to have such a great restaurant right in our neighborhood!
We have always enjoyed the food from The Dish, particularly their salmon dishes, and considered it a special treat to get takeout from there occasionally. However, on Thursday, 9/8/22, we decided to try their baked cod and were extremely disappointed. The fish had no flavor whatsoever, and it was served on a bed of basmati rice that was equally bland. The only redeeming aspect was the roasted cauliflower florets. As seniors living on a fixed income, we felt that this was a major waste of $40. We’re uncertain if we’ll go back. Avoid the cod! This used to be my favorite carry out, but it's changed. Many of my favorites are off the menu (muffuletta, havarti and tenderloin sandwich, etc). I tried the burrito and chicken Florentine. Both made me think of TV dinners. I hate saying that, but they were bland and the texture was off ...like TV dinners- processed. I will give it another try, but only once more.
I ordered from a picture online. What I ordered they didn 't have. The person that took my order said, go to our website , so I did. Even better! I got the chicken and mushrooms over rice. It was flavorful, and fresh, and so good. Then I see the chocolate cake with nuts and cream. Yes please, and thank you. Five ?!
I wasn't impressed at all. The pasta I had on my last visit was simply topped with dried oregano. A basic rule of cooking is that dried herbs need to be heated; otherwise, they can taste raw and gritty (and I really do like oregano). I also tried a few other dishes, but they were just disappointing.

Food is good but pretty expensive. I reccomend the New Orleans Pasta with Chicken. Me and my boyfriend love it.
