So I came in a couple of weeks ago hoping to eat a bit. the place is (I guess) somewhere between 1920 and 1940 and has a beautiful old wood cladding. When I got in there, the lunch seemed friendly. but if eating was in the offer, they do not have to see that under there a menu or a table with shrub! the rear garden was created to have a low maintenance (Astro-Turf etc). but is missing a little in character as a result! I had a pretty cheap glass wee and then pushed away to find food elsewhere!

He lived here for about two years and gave almost the hope to find a good, cozy, right pub. then. we came to the dog and gun wonderful old world pub, big landowner and his wife woman, great staff, holding a big pint (they can say. the pipes from the barrels are properly maintained,) also the family poche is friendly! many friendly locals who are new to feel at home and then there is food. bliss! we have found our pub caves on the earth!

We visited for the first time on Boxing Day after seeing the pub listed in the local CAMRA guide. The pub has a very friendly atmosphere. There are all the normal drinks plus a couple of local ales. The inside is characterful and largely unchanged...since it was built in the 1939s. Didn’t eat today because there wasn’t food on but would consider it next time. Will definitely be back.

Sunday lunches are superb . they have the traditional darts ,dominoes swimming pool . open coal fires keep the place cozy while they try one of the many well kept beer in the offer. entertainment nights are pleasant. there is. a good kempt beer garden .professional staff are really nice friendly people.
