While not from the DC area I was visiting family and this spot was recommended. We can in for lunch on a weekend and were quickly seated.I am not a fan of brunch and had to request if there was anything from their lunch or diner menus they would be prepared to make and it turns out the grilled pork chops were exactly what I was hoping for.We started with the shrimp spring rolls and loved them and their dipping sauce which while peanut flavored it was not peanut butter. I fine the sauce at Doi Moo was bright and fresh not heavy and thick. My entrée was huge but it’s what I wanted. There were three thick chops (I was expecting thin ones but no complaints). My platter came with mint and basil al...

I rarely write five star reviews, but Doi Moi deserves it. If you have a choice between the ground level or heading downstairs, just know that the ground one is very loud and lively, while downstairs felt super intimate and had a really cool vibe I loved. The drunkin noodles could best be described as velvety smooth. They didn't have quite as much of a kick as I'm used to from drunkin noodles, but the flavor was amazing. The Sài Gòn Salad was also delicious and had a surprising but enjoyable kick.Continuing on with some nice spice, the dragon kisses drink carried a spicy punch while the bomb cherry doll was more subtle but super enjoyable as well. Overall a really nice meal and I can't wait t...
I almost did not want to post a review for this place because I do not want to share it! From the servers, to the food, to the drinks, everything was so phenomenal! My friend goes very often and asked a few of us to join for her birthday, it’s officially one of my new favorite restaurants. I arrived after happy hour was ending but our server still gave me happy hour prices, and gave me suggestions on what to eat. We basically ordered everything on the menu (pad Thai, beef strips, fish, Brussels sprouts). Will definitely be back!
I really enjoyed my experience here. Had the spring rolls as the first appetizer and they had a great crunch and the contents were tasty, even though I prefer a sweeter dipping sauce. The crispy chicken wings were fried so well, no complaints. The beef in the beef platter was so juicy, the sauce on top was flavorful and it had a chewier consistency. Person I was with loved the stir fried rice noodle as well. The $7 dragonfruit daiquiri was good as well. Would def come back Book a table now
The food was good (not exactly like the authentic Vietnamese I have had but still very tasty) it’s a little pricey- we ended up in the speakeasy due to how busy it was and the service wasn’t very good. I know it’s just two bartenders down there for the whole area so I understand the wait but they really need to staff it more down there. Cocktails were good!
Besides the order in the way things came it it was amazing with my girl and best friends amazing food and my friends dude knew all the good things to try and the drinks were awesome as well. I think the owner was there. Super busy. Must try if you are staying around the area. DC has beat NY for this type of food. Enjoy my
can only rate the food because i ordered takeout from across the street at Aslin (which is a great and convenient concept). but the stir fried rice noodle dish was incredibly salty and lacked nuanced flavors, which was especially disappointing given the steep price point.
I love thé présentation of the dishes I ordered. I really loved the Banh Mi and the Thai Ice Tea with it. The pandan pancake was also really good too, but they should not really put food color in it. It was a lovely nice morning and experience overall. Book a table now
I definitely would recommend this restaurant on any day! The ambiance is superb! The food is outstanding! Fantastic alcoholic options… including endless mimosas. I also ended up ordering their iced Vietnamese Coffee to go for the perfect pick me up!
