Even with umbrellas it was too sunny and hot to eat outside. No a/c inside, just fans. Not directly on water; view from a distance. Nice bar area but table area small and not too comfortable. Ordered beef short ribs after being told it was “tender” but it was stringy and chewy. Waiter was not attentive, slow service even though at 1:30 it was not very crowded. When told about beef dish he reluctantly offered a replacement. We chose the eggplant parm which took a long time to prepare but was quite good. Wonderful food and great waitstaff. We sat outside later at night, and unfortunately there was an issue outside of the restaurant that disrupted our dinner. But the restaurant handled everything well and my partner and I had a great experience. I recommend the Thai shrimp and the cauliflower bisque, both were phenomenal and packed with flavor!! We would 1000% go back to the Dolphin!

the food was delicious and well prepared. we could see the hudson river from our sitting and service was excellent! we had a wonderful lunch.
The hummus we asked for didn't taste like hummus, the split pea soup was very flat (no taste) and the food was average.
