dom im spapelhaus is a great small taverne along the frankenwerft with magnificent views of the Rhine and is also very close to the beautiful large st martin. the interieur is ingenious, a whole pine interior, a great decoration and furnishings, including a cool looking...serving bar, a spiral staircase that brings it to the height of the upper floor and many seating possibilities in this tavern distributed both inside and outside to the lively and lively frankenwerft. we were greeted here at a Tuesday night, cordially by a very pleasant employee, the two reissdorf kölsch beer on our table and how the art in this part of Germany marked our beer mat with two pencil ticks to show how many we h...

We were wandering around the Old Town and more or less bar hopping when we chanced on this superb tavern located near the River Rhine. This tavern looks superb,a large light and airy interior with pine tables and chairs, great decor and furnishings including 100's of...photos of Cologne Cathedral adorning the walls, there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this place including their upstairs outside viewing terrace that offers great views over the the river, all in all its just a great tavern. We were here on a Thursday night and Dom Im Stapelhaus was fairly quiet,we got a table were a very pleasant member of staff took our order of a couple of beers and we opted to have a beer widel...

a sunny night beginning juni we went with a few colleagues to dinner in the city of Cologne. due to the beautiful location with sight we ended in the dom in the stack house . on a pattion high above the promenade we sat. a wounded view of the river, the people and the boats that were floating past. can't be beaten. we ordered drinks and later also eat from the big buttocks on the menu. the beer was served in tiny glasses, but cheap as soon as they finished their glass, the server directly gave a new one. the menu items are many original German dishes, but also some international favorites. we had salate, shiny and sour roast. all dishes were excellent, served after only 15 minutes and tasks...

We weren't really in the mood for German food as one gets overloaded with it while in Germany...go figure! But we were going to take the hour cruise on the Rhine and it was close. I had a salad and huge plate of fries. I...know what you are thinking, Health Nut! We also ordered a plate of 2 Bratwurst or some sausage with purple cabbage and potatoes. I didn't particularly like it but my fiance did. The cabbage was not what my grandma made. It was very sour and had an anise or cinnamon after taste and I just couldn't do it.The service was great and the food came out quick before I gnawed my arm off, so I was thankful. This region is known for the beer but I find it really strange that they ser... Book a table now

We were in Cologne during the pre-Christmas season, worked out the Christmas market and wanted to eat in a Cologne brewhouse. So it went to the stacking house. It was like in all brewhouses: original and dedicating. One sat on bare wooden tables and the dishes matched. We ordered the Domhof Kotelett, our son Sauerbraten. The Domhof Kotelett was a chop of 500g on the piece, panned, and a huge part with roast potatoes and a mixed salad. The meat was well roasted, reads perfectly from the bone and tasted amazingly good for brewhouse kitchen. Reih um was drunken.... but it didn't have to be. Conclusion: a sociable brewhouse in which guests of all ages were located.

this is a cozy place near bruges center and the staff was very friendly. we thought we'd give one away from the entrecote. at 36 euro we expected good things. in the steaks nothing was wrong, especially when they came that there was no sauce and the part of the kartoffels was quite stingy! So what we got were two completely ungarned bark pieces. we felt that it should have been much better for the price. After we said that we had a great evening and the staff there is really nice. would we go back? probaby, but we would try something else.

We booked through Open Table and the booking was confirmed by email, but the restaurant did not have us on their list nor did they know that we were coming. Luckily we waited 5 minutes and there was a free table for such a large party. But something, or communications between the two places was not good or something I don't know.

Very friendly helpful and good service. Went for the traditional foods and the pork shank braised could easily have fed 2 nice with the sauerkraut. The other had red cabbage potatoes and was great as well. Lovely to get a window seat as restaurant is...near the river.
