It was clearly a great experience. Not something I expected to find in a small town like Manosque. Of course, you have to be prepared to take your checkbook out for this one. But the food and the ambiance are top notch. Both my appetizer and my main had at least 15 different flavors and it was a constant feast to move from one to the next. Everything was very creative. My friend had cotton candy with his foie gras. Although I didn't taste it myself, he said it went surprisingly well together. The dining room was beautifully decorated, with the large windows overlooking the gardens. Service was friendly and professional. All in all, we had a great dinner.
Superb, but eye wateringly expensive. That said, lots of extras are thrown in with two lots of mises en bouche and mignardises before dessert. The cheapest half bottle of wine is 35 euros which is somewhat outrageous, but you would reserve this establishment for special treats only. The dishes were absolutely outstanding: cod and foie starters were divine followed by a very generous veal sweetbreads. Desserts were an artistic creation. Get your cheque books out and enjoy.
We spend 15 days touring around France and this was the best restaurant we tested! (cannot remember but I think it was also the most expensive we tested)Incredible food. NIce-modern local. People really kind: even young wairtress apprentice make the effort ot translating dishes name into Spanish for us during dishes presentation. Everything good, especially the food!
We visited this restaurant for an anniversary dinner on the Wednesday- just 6 people in the restaurant including us four. The service was excellent and the meal delivered on its promise.(This was our second visit - the last time was in the summer and we had lunch there with our two children. The child meal was pronounced "best ever eaten" by our second son.)
