We were a group of English guys staying in Bamberg for a weekend of beer, sightseeing & more beer. Bamberg is, of course, the centre of the universe for fans of beer & brewing culture. One of our group found Cafe Abseits on the internet & it was possibly the best find of the weekend. I contacted the proprietor prior to our arrival to warn him of a group of 14 men in need of a hearty breakfast & some local "where to go" info. When we arrived, tables were reserved for us & we were warmly greeted by the owner who proceeded to tell us about the wonderful beer brewing heritage of Bamberg. We were served up a fantastic breakfast - the emphasis was on hearty portions rather than gourmet presentatio...
In fact apart from me and my three companions there were none that evening ! This extremely busy backstreet bar is a short walk from the railway station in the opposite direction to the Altstadt and is most certainly worth seeking out. The beer...list is superb both in length and quality and there are many exotic selections both on draught and in bottles. Specialities include bottled Belgians and a selection of Wayermann (new to me beers in draught and bottles. We had eaten earlier but the food on offer looked tempting and if up to the standard of the beers sampled might have led me to a rating of excellent Still a anyway. Hope I haven't revealed anyone's secret location....
if we are after a student's club, then we go on, go out in the evening for versatile eating and a big beer selection, in the morning for one of the often described breakfast. always beautiful, always striving for the guests, they feel comfortable. the environment is sung, word patina : but they should also be on the website. de a cheerful but competent collection for gastronomy, which is well maintained with love. interesting for kneaders and all who want to look behind the scenes. a real skyside with 1001 themen. this review was written on 27.4.10 for qype. protest against the practice of the successor yap, to filter out reviews arbitrarily, I deleted them there.
Cafe Abseits is worth going out of your way for the beer they often have several interesting ones on tap, and they also often feature beers brewed by the local Weyermann malt factory something I've not seen anywhere else. The food selection is...better than most places like it, with some interesting options. I bring my family here because there is something for everybody, including vegetarians. But I come here to drink the beer. I've not been here late, but they claim to be open until It would be a fantastic place to hang out with some friends, especially in nice weather when the beer garden is open

cozy, rather small pub with friendly service, in summer with seating in the beer garden. the beer card is really extensive and new, special beers are always offered. very recommended for me are the pizza (from 18:30 a.m.) and the burgers, on the menu are also numerous salads, many smaller dishes and every week a different daily dish (service a vegetarian, Friday fish.) the workers are very nice and friendly and extra wishes were always perfectly fulfilled. because there are not too many seats and most tables are also small Latin, a reservation is recommended at intervals.
the off is a small selling point with rustic look and beautiful operation. the food is kept simple, but rather tasty, the variety is given by weekly cards and changing day dishes. for vegetarian friends, one or the other is to be found, unfortunately often no self-evident. also to highlight positiw is the drink card, beer in pack and fill. so that the offside gets a clear recommendation for a cozy evening in nice company with friends.
The map offers a variety of beer specialities from the region and around the world, which are rounded off by a variety of defections and delicious salads. The staff is French “even out”, but consistently friendly and professional. The cosy guest room and the beautiful beer garden are visited by all ages. Already for several decades in the shop, Café A weg unter Bambergern is not such a secret tip.
