Don Jose Mexican - Table reservation

Cool cantina! We were shopping nearby and in looking for Mexican found Don Jose with great reviews. We had dinner on a Friday night. Although the parking lot was pretty full, we were seated right away. There was a mariachi band walking through restaurant taking requests and performing. This just added another authentic layer to the decor and ambiance. Service was really good. Everyone was very friendly. The table was kept clear of dishes, and food came out fairly quickly. Great service, good food. Slight heat to salsa -I enjoyed it, slightly hot for my partner but pairs nice for him with their fresh quac. (Theirs lacks jalapeños mixed in, how we both prefer. , Large portions, tacos were great (lettuce, chicken, onion peppers and shrimp wrapped in bacon w/ cheese were huge. Pilaf type rice, fluffy. Strong margaritas.

We've been going to the 2 area Don Jose's restaurants for about 24 years. Always enjoy the food and atmosphere. The staff are always friendly but the crowds keep them jumping most nights. I love the chicken enchiladas and fajitas. My wife likes the tostadas. We never been unhappy with any meal there. Can't say that about too many places.

The food was good and flavorful but was cold. I specifically ordered tacos because I wanted crunchy shells but the ingredients made the shells soft so they fell apart when I ate them.

Fantastico! Great food, asked for the extra spicy sauce, and service took good care of us.l! Meals are filling and flavorful! Def coming back!
