Just had our daughter's baptism lunch here. The food is outstanding, and the service was even better! Every single guest raved about this place and vowed to come back for dinner. George did so well with our party, we are so very pleased and can't wait to go back. Dietary restrictions: They took great care of our gluten free cousin making her whatever she wanted they even had gluten free pasta! Kid friendliness: We had quite a few kids at the party who wouldn't stay in their seats not a problem at all for the staff!
We wanted to give our out-of-town friend a taste of classic Chicago-style Italian cuisine, and Donnie G's definitely delivered. The food was fantastic, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was just right. The menu was well thought out and informative, with dishes like the pasticcio showcasing a Greek influence in the spices, reminiscent of Southern Italy. We were thoroughly impressed and will definitely be returning in the future.
Brought from family here that were visiting from NY and they were very happy and pleased with the meal. Definitely the best Italian food I have had in the Chicago area. Donny G?s has great prices, and a nice menu to choose from, and excellent servicefrom the whole staff. I went with the grilled octopus, Shrimp scampi and pappardelle bolognese for dinner. Can?t wait to comeback and try some more items.
My wife and I went there last night. The menu is very versatile with regards to light and heavy, pasta and proteins options which is a definite plus. The entrees were solid. The baked clams were ok. The staff was very nice and welcoming. We'llcertainly come back. Book a table now
We had our family Christmas party at this restaurant today. It was fantastic. The service was excellent and the food was incredible. I can't praise it enough. I just wish we lived closer so we could visit more often, but we will definitely be returning.
Not good. We were seated not in the main dining room. It was a Thursday, ordered bottle of wine thinking half price. We got the $230 bill for 4 people. Told 1/2 price wine only on house wine. Food was not good. Over priced. Will not go back.
My wife and I had our anniversary dinner at Donny G’s and it was fantastic! The food was superb and the service was second to none. The live music takes you back to the days of fine dining in a great atmosphere. We will definitely be back!
