We have been to Douro a few times, enjoyed it and were excited to dine in its new location. Unfortunately, we did not find the food to be very good. We expected Portuguese food but got some kind of sad mix of watered down PortugueseChinese. Paella was a tasteless rice dish with very muted flavors. Honey chicken was disappointing version of Chinese takeout hot and sour chicken. Fried calamari served w same hot and sour bright red sauce. NG. Drinks were good though. Come for a cilantro margarita and go elsewhere for food
Food was overpriced and very average. The portions were small. I was upset that they put a service charge on my bill without displaying this on the menu. When I questioned the waitress she said that is a tip for the kitchen staff. There prices are extremely high to begin with and putting a tip on the menu for the kitchen staff is extremely unethical. I will not not be back
