The buffet is back! We visited DD for the first time since the pandemic began and were thrilled to find their buffet section open for weekend lunch. The selection was exceptional, with everything tasting absolutely delicious. They offered chicken biryani, crushed eggplant, chicken tikka masala, fish, lamb, and Tandoori chicken. Each dish was freshly prepared and kept warm. It was wonderful to see that DD has not only survived the pandemic but has returned to its former glory. I can definitely see myself becoming a regular here whenever I have cravings for Indian food.

The restaurant offers good quality food. The dishes are authentically rooted but also have their own unique twists. The Samosa Chat reminded me a lot of what I used to enjoy from street vendors when I lived abroad. I'm still on the hunt for that perfect bowl of chole that captures the essence of street food. The vindaloo was outstanding, and the Gosht was packed with flavor; the lamb had the ideal texture and thickness, though I prefer it thinner, like gyro meat. The prawns were just okay. updating my first review below. The food here is fantastic. For me, her Aloo Gobi is really the perfect dish I've been looking for for for many years. I love it. I also love their homemade hot sauce. Five stars. Very good Indian food. I asked him sharply, but not to killer, and they nailed it right. Aloo Gobi, potatoes and cauliflowers had a very nice amount of spicy green chillies in it. The yellow sound was very good. Cauliflower Manchurian was average, but I got out so it might be better. I asked about the hot sauce, it was really good. Spicy, but not overwhelming again. The Samosa were also kind of average. A total of 5 stars and I would certainly return and try a few different things.
We dined at Downtown Dhaba tonight and it exceeded our expectations! If you're in search of authentic Indian cuisine, this is the place to be. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the menu. I was thrilled to discover they offer gluten-free options, which is essential for me as I have celiac disease, and they were very accommodating to my dietary needs. I can’t wait to return! WOW! The delicious food at Downtown Dhābā was absolutely mouthwatering. Our host, Säntänä, was incredibly gracious and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. He even prepared fresh Indian tea for us. Thank you! I highly recommend this place!
