Make sure you come to this brewery in Jamaica Plains and NOT the taproom, so you could get the actual tour. When you first arrive, it's situated in an unassuming neighborhood so don't be surprised. There is a parking lot, so parking wasn't an issue if you're driving. There was outdoor and indoor space for people to enjoy their beers as well. The tour of the Samuel Adams Boston Brewery was one of the highlights of my trip to Boston, and it certainly lived up to my expectations. They offer a range of tours priced from $10 to $50, including options for larger groups. My friends and I chose the $10 Sam Signature Experience, and it was excellent. For just $10, we enjoyed several beer tastings, which was more than enough to give me a nice buzz. We had an amazing experience on Sam's Signature Experience Tour, which we joined as part of our GoCity ticket. Our guide was fantastic, and we really enjoyed learning about the history of Samuel Adams and the R&D Brews. You can also purchase these brews in the tap room and gift shop. On home game days, they offer $2 Fenway Franks, which is a nice bonus! The service was excellent, and we appreciated that we could take our leftover beer in a plastic cup with us on the tour if we didn’t finish it in time. Overall, it was an awesome experience!
For the price you're paying, these tours are 110% worth it! We paid for the $10 45 minute tour that consisted of trying 3 of their beers. The tour guide was nice and shared a lot of fun, interesting facts. If you sped walked through the tour it would feel pretty short but the amount of history, facts, and tasting we experienced made it worth it. They pour pitchers at the end to just share and try to finish with the rest of the tour group, so you honestly get a good amount of beer! Would want to see their other tour options to compare :

Was a little disappointed in this tour. I've done other brewery tours and they tour you through much more interesting sections to the brewery and breweries by process. This tour was limited to looking at a few kettles while the guide explained the process. From there, we moved into a room with long table and did a beer tasting. The latest beers were described and then we were dumped into the gift shop. It was only $11 so I didn't feel cheated, just a bit meh. Was really hoping for a lot more from the pioneers in craft brewing.
Great tour! We were excited to check out this brewery and learn more about Sam Adams beer on their tour. The brewery itself isn't very large but the tour is highly informative and fun. Includes in the basic tour are three small pours and I found them all delicious (my favorite was the doublebock . One of the people I came with did the tour option that included a tasting right out of the barrel (11.7%! . They've got a nice tasting room and gift shop as well. You'll have a good time.
Came for a tour, stayed for the brewery. We did the tour where you visit 3 rooms and get 3 samples. The tour was a typical brewery tour, and we got to learn a few things about beer in general and Sam Adams history. Our tour guide was hilarious, and he made the tour so fun! After the tour, we went to the brewery to try some other flavors. Sadly, they were out of some of the sours I would have tried so I did a make your own flight. My faves were the hibiscus and passion fruit goses.
We had a great time on the tour. Despite having been on many brewery tours before, this one was fresh. The tour guide was great. The beers were not just the ones you can buy at the store.
