I'm really surprised at the very different reviews in TripAdvisor to be honest, I believe that all hundreds of tourists who today have the Dragonfels (temperatures below 5 degrees Celsius) and who have a fast bite and hot drink were overwhelmed by the beauty of the site and enjoyed the warm and cozy restaurant and its great views. The staff at the restaurant was very friendly and at the same time terribly busy, so many people are timely and professional to use, the menu is limited, but perfectly served the purpose prices are not too very reasonable I don't think that someone in the restaurant today expects a 5 stars and Michelin stars with lunch ... so my rating is: 5/5 and I will be back .....
The view from here is wonderful, but one does not need to visit this restaurant to enjoy the views from top of the Drachenfels. The restaurant is lovely located, that 's a fact. If a place is better than others, it should be rated as 'very good ' or even as 'excellent ' But it seems that they benefit the lack of competition, at least I didn 't get the idea that this place offers something that could make me rate it as good or excellent instead of average. But still, food is okay, so is value for money, so is service.
Wir waren am 25.03.2017 auf der Sonnenterrasse/Biergarten zu Gast. Die dortigen Preise entsprechen dem touristischem Niveau. Die Preise etwas überhöht. Eine Flasche Wasser 0,75L zu 6,90 € ist M.E. schon happig. Die Currywurst mit Pommes Frites zu 8,50 € auch nicht gerade ein Schnäppchen. Allerdings möchte ich an dieser Stelle das sehr nette, geschulte Personal loben, das fix die Bestellungen abgearbeitet hat.mumeco
Tijdens ons bezoek aan de Drachenfels hebben we daar gegeten en gedronken. Het eten is daar simpel en niet uitgebreid. Kwaliteit van het eten is goed te noemen. Maar in combinatie met het uitzicht en in ons geval ook met het zeer goede weer is het fantastisch. Bediening is vriendelijk. Een aanrader

The flamkuchen was fair. The desserts were fair. My niece had pesto pasta with pinenuts; the only good thing out of the eight us ordered. The house was quite cool; just stop at the bottom of the hill to eat. The service was slow even for European standards.
L'endroit idéal pour se relaxer après une ballade, soit en terrasse, soit à l'intérieur ... Un passage obligé de la région ! La montée à pied depuis Königswinter est très sportive à cause du dénivelé ! Pour les moins sportifs, il reste le petit train ...
Leckeres Kölsch, schmackhafter Flammkuchen, nette und prompte Bedienung. Und das Alles mit dem Blick auf den Rhein, über die Eifel und bis nach Köln. Was will man mehr? Bei schönem Wetter unschlagbar gut für einen Ausflug!
Wenn man schon mal auf dem Drachenfels ist, dann sollte man auch schon mal dort einkehren. Vernünftige Karte zu fairen Preisen und natürlich eine top Aussicht!

Die Aussicht ist hier das Highlight. Das Personal ist aufmerksam und bemüht, die Getränke wie sie sein sollten. Die Preise sind leicht höher.
