Although there are many great restaurants in Appenzell, the Restaurant Zum Drei König is one of the best. The quality of the food is excellent and the service is perfect. Among many specialties is one that is particularly recommended, the cheese onion cake. Delicious! Great place in Appelzell to either eat for lunch or make a break for a snack.
Highly recommended. Very friendly and polite staff. We could feel they cared about the service. Food was of excellent quality, with good portion sizes. The house ice tea was superb, tasting fresh and not too sweet. Naturally a nice location in the historical centre of Appenzell.
Delicious stop in Appenzell! Our whole party got the house special, this is a cheese and onion tarte / quiche kind thing. I'm sure I'm writing this wrong, but either it was ridiculously amazing and I'd like to go back and have it again!
