Today was my first visit. I didn't know there was an article about Drew's reopening, so the place was super busy. The staff filled orders both inside and outside. I waited for a while and could have been annoyed on another day, but looking for the additional media coverage and the realization that they were short employees and just watching how hard everyone was working... the wait did not seem too extreme. Got home and every single meal (5 in total) was exactly what we ordered. My meal (fried chicken) was shared with several people because the portions were generous. My chicken was so delicious. The sides were perfectly cooked and it felt like a meal that my mom would have put on the table....
We went on Saturday afternoon for lunch, the food was great. I loved the fried chicken. My friend had the pork chops and said they were tender and delicious! We also had dessert peach cobbler which was warm, edges were crunchy and felt like it had been prepared especially for me! My friend had a slice of sweet potato pie and said she loved it. Treat yourself to a delicious meal and go to Drew's Place.
I remembered taking a photo this time BEFORE I've broken it up. Delicious wort and moisture in this delicious roasted chicken!! Pages are also delicious, but the chicken is the STAR here!! Finish your meal with a peach Cobbler a la fashion or sweet potato cake. No pictures. I ate everything and enjoyed every bite!! Check before you go bc, they are only opened a few days and 11a-3p.
This was my first time Drews tried and it was amazing. I've tried to find a good soul food place with good greens in Fort Worth, and that's it! I have the LeeAnn plate with roasted chicken, crowned greens, black eyebrows and corn bread. It was all delicious, and I finished every bite. I will definitely be back! Thank you.
