Copied from Open Table. The main dining room is right on the beach with a dazzling view of the Pacific and the swoop of the coast looking to the cliffs north of Laguna. We arrived just after 1PM on a sunny winter day and were treated to beautiful shimmering water. The room is all hard surfaces, so it's more than a little noisy, but there's no blaring music to compete with, a huge plus. Nicely appointed tables and dinnerware that looks local to the artisan community in Laguna, a nice touch. There's a bit of a stink as you pass the kitchen the only route into the dining room but no hint of it once you're seated. Our party of four did three meals, the burger, the wedge salad with chicken, and m...

I have a great dining experience at Driftwood. The space is casual and coastal with ridiculously views of the ocean directly under you. The food is fresh, and tasty. We shared the Octopus, Tartare, and Crudo to begin. I recommend all of these. For the main, I have the sea bass while others had the salmon, and scallops. Again, the fish was cooked perfectly, and came with amazing sauces and accompaniments. Dessert was the sticky toffee cake. Service was attentive and knowledgeable. I would definitely come back. It does get busy, so if you want a nice spot for sunset, you should call ahead.
Went there for Thanksgiving buffet. The food was excellent, but there was just one problem: they ran out of one of the dishes that was advertised. I can understand the realities of estimating how much they are going to need, but this was very expensive. If you are going offer a buffet, you have to make sure people are getting as much as they want of everything advertised, even if a reservation is 30 minutes before closing. Our res was for 5:00pm, certainly not close to end if the day. They didnt even offer a discount or anything. The server just said “we’re out of it”, and walked away.
Driftwood Kitchen offered a good experience. While the view is the main attraction, the food was fairly satisfying. Particularly, the Crispy Brussels Sprouts and Shishito Peppers were enjoyable. However, I wouldn't recommend ordering the Main Lobster Flautas again, as the lobster seemed to lack freshness and appeared to be of lower quality. On the positive side, both my colleague and I thoroughly enjoyed the Nectar of the Seven Seas drink, finding it quite refreshing. Our visit was a one-time experience, and we don't plan to return in a hurry. Book a table now
This place is like a postcard. Beautiful and fun. The service is pleasant and quick if you're in a rush. The view is unmatched. The drinks are fantastic. If you come when they arent busy they will literally let you chill out without rushing you out. The food is the only thing that could have more options but that's not why you come here. You come here for the vibes and fun factor. This place has that in spades!
The oysters here are fresh, and I absolutely love it! While the vibe surpasses the food, I wouldn't say no to the dishes—it's a pretty chill, brunch-styled experience with a great view. Everything is nicely shaped, making it a relaxing spot to enjoy some good food and a laid-back atmosphere.
Drove up from San Diego to celebrate a bday. Service and ambiance were fantastic! Food was very good and for the setting, the prices are fair. Free valet would be a nice perk but understandably the area is crazy for parking on the weekends. Definitely recommend!
Service was amazing and the food was a knockout. You can't beat the atmosphere and the views. The menu was well put together and had great options. Thr service was prompt and helpfull. The food was just delicious. You can't go wrong here Book a table now
