My wife and I decided to eat at this restaurant on the last night of our stay in Bandol.Having looked at the information boards outside the restaurant and the menu we decided to eat from their 3 course menu at €22.My wife ordered a glass of wine and a bottle appeared. We had our first and second courses and all was enjoyable. We were then asked if we would like desserts a which was a it odd as the menu included a dessert in the price. We ordered and duly ate our desserts. On inspection of our bill we noted that we had been charged for a couple of two course meals at €18.50 each and that the desserts had been added as €7 extras and thus not totalling the expected €22. After some discussion th...

The waiter forgot our order and came back after 15 minutes to ask us what we had ordered. We enquired whether the restaurant had wi-fi access. The waiter said he would make enquiries about the password and never came back. After an hour it became apparent that there was no wi-fi in the restaurant. One would have thought that we could have been told this when we sat down and asked about it. We ordered coffee after our lunch and we had to ask for it twice before it finally arrived. Same with the bill. When the waiter chirpily said "impeccable" pulling the credit card slip out of the machine, something snapped in me and I told him that our restaurant experience had not been impeccable. His resp...
Ate a Saturday lunch here. I went for the 29 euro menu, gratin of mussels, fillets of red mullet with basil, ile flottante. All very good, well served at a good pace by friendly and attentive waiters. This is an old-fashioned country-style restaurant in a town where many of the others have modernised, so it feels slightly anachronistic, though pleasantly so. Excellent seafront location by the casino. The cheap prix fixe of the day, by the way, looked tremendous value. My guest kindly chose it, and had a generous and authentic paella for main course. Enjoyed and would re-visit.
Have been twice in the last 10 days, first for lunch and then for dinner. My wife had fish on both visits from the menu du jour and enjoyed both meals. I had couscous royale for lunch and fried chicken for dinner. We had desserts on both occasions which were very nice. The service was friendly, courteous and relaxed. We try to savour our meals in the French way rather than rush the food in the British way so we were quite happy with speed of service. Good value for money too! Recommended. Book a table now
Visited Bandol, one of our favourite French resorts, for 2 weeks in February. We decided to eat out on valetines day but at lunchtime rather than evening. Decide to go back to this restaurant as we have always enjoyed the meal. My wife had paella and I chose poelee of squid, both from the menu du jour. Thoroughly enjoyed them. We then had very nice desserts. Throughout our visit the service was impeccable, prompt, friendly and efficient. Very good value for money too!We will return.
We opted for Thym a l'Ail for lunch as they offered moules marinieres. Tasty with crisp fries. My partner ordered a special salad mix, - granted. So there was pretty much an ok lunch on the sea front i Bandol. Friendly and quick service from our waiter as well.
We went with family on sunday midday for a quick lunch after 2hours on the closed beach. Food was ok. Not great food but you can not expect more along road en in front of the beach. People are nice and prices are normal.
Had Moules and goats cheese and bread for lunch. The restaurant was full of locals and we had a great meal. Not a lot of English spoken but between us we communicated well enough. Book a table now
Aïoli day dish, just perfect. Small glass of Bandol on terrace, impossible to resist dessert, homemade raspberry pie. A good house that respects the client. To advise!
