First time here. I had heard great reviews about it, so we decided to ring and book. We were led downstairs to what I believe to be an old kitchen. The order was taken, and the starters arrived. Very pleased with them. Mains arrived, and for me, that was Turkey and Ham. Ham was lovely, but the Turkey was a bit tough. My husband ordered the roast beef, and when it came, I thought it looked like something out of a shop packet. As my husband started to eat the beef it was pure fat. The top pice was okay, but all the meat underneath was fatty, and the slices were paper thin. When we finished I told the waitress but anyone could see that he hadn't eaten it. Lovely lunch with a friend. Much enjoyed. Good food. Staff were attentive without being overbearing and certainly very pleasant. No rush to leave and certainly we would go back but not have the pie!!.I think they were cooked separately? The filling was delicious and really hot. Served beautifully. Thank you.
The restaurant may be outdated, but the food is phenomenal. The menu offers a variety of delicious options, the quality is top-notch, the service is outstanding, and the overall atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. Additionally, paying for your meal is convenient.
I went to this restaurant with my three sisters for dinner. The food was fantastic, the staff were excellent, and there was a lively folk music session happening. It was a wonderful evening and we all had a great time.

Serves excellent food and the most beautiful pints, especially of Guinness. Hard to beat the Saturday afternoon session which runs into the evening, and helps create a brilliant atmosphere. Love it!
