Wow that was some terrible service last night. We had more people in our group than was expected. The server refused help when another waitress offered to take orders. Food should not be delivered to one of our five large tables when she had not even taken the order of others. This was unacceptably greedy of the server especially as we heard her turn down another server's offer to help take orders. I realize people moved around when we wouldn't all fit in the reserved party room. An experienced server would take individual's names and continue with the separate cheques/ ordering. It's easy to ask a table "hey anyone know where Kim is?" rather than asking over and over "who had the wee burger...

I don't know if anyone has ever advised the owners that "Dutchess" is misspelled (it should be "Duchess"), buit the faux pas has not affected the food or service. We had business in that section of town and stopped by for lunch. It was on the early side for the rush, and we had all kinds of choice of tables. We were greeted cordially by a hostess, and told we could sit wherever we liked. We chose a table near the windows, but with an unobstructed view of the T.V., on which the Open was being played. A smiling server approached with menus, and took our drink orders (as usual, ice water and lemon). A few moments later, she returned with good-sized glasses, and then took our food order. My spou...

Looking for a reasonable place to celebrate our birthdays, we decided to give this pub a try, since it is close to home (winter being what it is!) and we had never been there. We went late Friday afternoon. The place was reasonably full of patrons celebrating Happy Hour. Being happy enough, we were there for a meal. We were seated, eventually received our menus, and about 20 minutes later, the ice water and lemon we had ordered. We both chose the beef liver with bacon and onions, veggie of the day, and "tatties" with gravy (on the side). Blessedly, the meal came more quickly than our water! It was more than adequate in quantity, and very tasty. The price was appropriate: $12 per meal. Both t...

A couple of friends dropped in for an unexpected visit and we decided to try the Duke and Dutchess for dinner. The Blue Jays play off game was on that evening so the Pub was packed and loud. We decided to sit on the Patio so that we could chat and hear each other. (The Jay's were winning 10-1 that evening - Go Blue Jays) Good English fare, the service was quick and efficient. Fish and Chips, Bangers and Mash, Stick and mushroom pie. We enjoyed our meal, had a great chat with our friends. Book a table now

My wife and I were looking for a different restaurant, but it was not open anymore. So we entered the D & D to avoid any further looking. Seating comfort was not great with fairly flat cushions. However this was soon forgotten when our food came around. I used to drive to Guelph to get Fish and Chips but this is the best in the area.Friendly service too. If they re-upholstered their seating we would be coming around more often.

My Wife & I stayed at the Homewood Suites next door and decided to check out the surroundings. We happened to come across this pub style restaurant. After checking the menu the nice Waitress copied for us, we decided to try it out for diner. All I can say their fish & chips was one of the best we've ever tasted while being at a very reasonable price. Great Service to boot.

Was surprised at how busy it was for a Tuesday night at 7pm. The atmosphere is great, a crowd of all ages, TV's so you don't miss any sports, also a large variety of beer and food. The burger and fries are fantastic and highly recommended.

It was a typical British Pub, lots of folks hanging out at the bar, nice seating set up for people there to eat. Staff were friendly and it had good comfort food. A nice evening out for a meal with friends, Book a table now
