If one is happy with bakery fare, it is somehow comfortable to have lunch at a bakery – you know what you are getting, that it will be fresh and reasonably priced. A disadvantage about Dulwich is that there is no easy parking, and I had to walk a block. There is a handy bus stop. The bakery is very pleasant with about 20 seats inside as well as outdoor seating. There is also an indoor children's area set aside. My potato pie with sauce is hot and tasty, my finger bun comes buttered without demur, and amazingly, my cappuccino with high froth is ready by the time I finalize payment. The staff are friendly, and a steady stream of customers testifies to this bakery's popularity.

It's almost not fair - Dulwich Bakery is next door to GG's and over the road from a Cibo Local franchise. Dulwich Bakery's coffee is, frankly, weak in comparison to these other places, and it would be so easy to lift that part of the business. As a cafe, it feels as though that service is stuck on to the bakery, so in spite of the location it somehow doens't really work. Dulwich Bakery - I hope you read this and put a bit more effort into the cafe side of your business. The custom is out there!

I especially love visiting this bakery on a wet and wintery day when I am looking after my 1 and 3 year old nieces. It has one of the best little kids play areas this side of the black stump. The service is usually quite good, and one is spoilt for choice with the range of freshly baked goods. For what they actually are, (a tiny little bit of frothed up milk) I think the babycinos could be thrown in as complimentary (one free one for every adult hot drink purchased).

The food is generally up to standard but nowhere as good as Port Elliot Bakery or Pat a Cake bakery. What annoyed me on this and other occasions is the poor attitude of the staff who just seem like they don't want to be there. Book a table now

The quality of cakes is unquestionable but definitely overpriced (even for Australia!). Good service - an occasional treat rather than regular custom for me I think!

They sell great, freshly baked breads, pies, cakes and pastries. The pies are very tasty and there are a variety of lovely cakes and the vanilla slices are so good.

Having lived in the area off and on for the last twenty years or so, I've often found excuses to go to this bakery for one of their pies or donuts or
