Yawn, terrible service..... staff really not interested. There was nothing on the menu but when I booked I was told BYO was I though per bottle but was per person. If you are going to have a cheap wine list then BYO needs to...be affordable, especially in an area like Elizabeth Bay/ Potts Point where people are likely to want better quality drinks. I know it was only a Marc Bredon Classic Vouvray, but still better than the wine list. The Akasha IPA was a good palate cleanser to start with. Dumplings were dumplings etc.... nothing stood out as being particularly special or worthy of a second visit.

Here you can get a no-frills dumpling hit, which still offers a funny atmosphere. The menu consists of dumplings, pork or vegetarian bread rolls, different versions of Boa / pancakes and some desserts. Just highlight your selection on the paper job sheet (including drinks) and you are good to go. The prices are reasonable and for $ 25, all we all had had a drink and the serene feel full of food. The duck pitch cakes were pending, but they can not really go wrong with food options. It is a close room and even on a Tuesday evening it was difficult to get a table.
The place was even busy on a Tuesday night, but the staff was very recommended, and waiting for a table was short. Dumplings and beer seem to be a family business, and the service was excellent. Favorite dishes were pork belly Baos and the scallop dumplings. Pan fried pork dumplings and shallot pancakes were also delicious. Nothing to send, but washed with a cold beer, it was a very satisfying, reasonable dinner. Highly recommended, though it is warned, it is a small room, which is best for groups of 2 to 3
A bit underwhelming. Do not sit upstairs. It’s hot and claustrophobic and you’ll be forgotten by the serving staff. Sit outside if you want to enjoy your meal. The gow gee dumplings were extremely overcooked. The duck pancake was floury and had too much plum sauce. The only dish that put this restaurant to the star rating was the crispy pork buns. The whole venue was sticky so I felt like having a shower afterwards not to mention the toilet trip the next morning was less than ideal!!! Book a table now
Somewhat of a hidden restaurant, Dumplings Beer in Potts Point is one of my top contenders for being Sydneys best Chinese restaurants. The food is exceptionally flavoursome and I would highly recommend the duck pancakes and pork buns.If you'd like to read more of my reviews, please check out my Zomato page and visit @cynthiaeats_ on Instagram for more photos!
What a reward; What a pleasure! The concept, my authentic Asian with a classic cider and a foreign movie to enjoy a wall in front of me was too good. The food came out quickly, was fresh and surprised me. The mailing of the pork slider let me believe in love again (Haha). But nothing says love like a movie and a great food!
We had such a great meal took a friend who’d never eaten dumplings steamed buns he was an instant lover had to get a takeaway. Really great helpful service accommodated vegetarian and Gluten Free diets great price and drinks selection. Will definitely be...spreading the word so happy with our experience Thanks DB team
These are the most yummy dumpling I’ve had in Sydney. The quality of the products, recommendations, and flavor put them ahead in my list. The owners are extremely nice and offered a great service to all of us there. Book a table now
Sooooooo full - great interior - they make the most with the tight space. Wall to wall character. The food is excellent and service speedy. I would definitely have a repeat dinner at D&B.
