We went as a group of 4 ppl for lunch on a Sunday...Busy noisey place with lots of ppl enjoying lunch. Thermos of hot Chinese tea & bottled water are on all tables, plus condiments of chili oil, soya sauce & vinegar & chopsticks, cutlery & crockery & a box of tissues instead of serviettes.We ordered steamed chicken & prawn dumplings(12pieces)9$ & pan fried park& veg dumplings (15pieces) $9.50.Dumplings were good, although we preferred the pan fried ones... Pan fried seemed to have more flavor.We also ordered Calamari & vegetables with noodles, Pepper Beef & veg with noodles & Pan fried Tofu with veg.Calamari was bland. Would try the Salt & Pepper Calamari next time.All the food was served ho...
We went on a quiet weekday afternoon and were seated quickly. The lady who took our order was uncaring as we ordered the pork pan fried dumplings and the chicken and prawn wonton in chili oil and peanut sauce. We liked the pork dumplings, served hot and crunchy with no soup inside (a shame), but the wontons had a bitter after-taste that we didn't care for and its sauce was watery. We slowly discovered the bitter taste had to do with the peanut sauce, not the wontons themselves. This is quick, simple, and affordable fare in the heart of Carnegie. Service is non-existent and the food is no better than the other restaurants of the same cuisine in the area.
The food is tasty and very reasonable price however we are not going to rush back due to the lack of cleanliness of the place. The messy walls and condiment trays need a good clean. It does very much detract from nice food .We went to this restaurant not long after it opened a few years ago and it was very nice decor unfortunately this has now been let go with hand written signs and notices on the walls. The staff were pleasant enough but not skilled in waitering. Overall it needs an eye for detail and a big freshen up.
Came here one day for lunch as I was in a hurry and got some dumplings. They were absolutely perfect!! Steamed pork dumplings not soggy as I find some dumplings can be, but perfectly cooked with a tasty filling. Have been back numerous times after that and tried many other dishes like the Fried rice which was beautiful! And with prices sooooo cheap what's not to love? Despite the many Chinese restaurants on koornang road I Recommend all my friends and family to come here ☺️

Like all the reviews say here. I had takeaway beef dumplings and the spinach in superior broth plus the salted egg and tofu. The dumplings were the only good thing. Spinach I don't think was washed as it was gritty as we ate it. So in the bin it went. The salted fish tofu didn't taste no smell of salted fish at all (it is usually rather pungent) and the dish overall was rather bland. I'd stick to the dumplings. Maybe just maybe give some of the other dishes a go.
Attempt to have lunch recently with a group of friends. While waiting for a table to be cleaned and prepared, the waiter just totally ignored us.After that, a rude patron and just walk in between us at the table that we're waiting at and sat down without any eye contact. Nothing is done or bothered by the waiter.We just left the restaurant and had lunch at Shyun Ramen instead.
Went to this unobtrusive little restaurant in the bustling Koornang Road precinct with another couple who were locals. They clearly knew something as this was one of the very best asian restaurants I've been to, and that's coming from someone who lived in the Victoria Street/ Vietnam Richmond area for many years. Unobtrusively excellent says it all about this terrific find.
Went to visit on Easter Sunday.The place was not too busyOrdered a selection of food. Highly recommend the pan fried pork bun. The bun was soft, crispy base, soupy filling and reminded me of the ones I had in Shanghai.It is a cheap fast thrill type of restaurant so don't expect 5 star service. Overall had a good experience. Would come back again

The family and I just wanted good asian food while enjoying a nice outing!I had heard about this place, nothing fancy but simply nice dishes. The feedback was right Important to note its BYO and there is no bar. They have great stir fry, dumplings and a famous long beans in chilli (which i highly recommend)!Its a great mid week outing!!!
We ordered Chicken & Prawn Dumplings which was Very tasty and the chilli sauce deserves a special mention and the taste is simply mouthwatering and i thoroughly enjoyed the food..Ambience is very normal for that place the cost was a bit expensive
