The beer here is excellent. Nothing better than enjoying a beer on a sunny, early summer day in an alleyway with rusty benches, a rat trap, and overly loud techno music. I'm not being sarcastic, it really added to the charm. Although I really do not like DJs and loud techno (or any) music. I like my hearing! Do yourself a favor. Come out on a Saturday, get some snacks at the Eastern Market, then head over to the EMBC and have some beer and enjoy your local snacks! Detroit is getting more and more awesome every day and this little gem can only make you happier!
Shop at Eastern market often, coming from across the Windsor Detroit tunnel and always make sure we stop here. Place is just fantastic. Lots of of cold beer to stay or go. Patio outside is awesome and lucky enough to watch a live band on one Sunday afternoon. Side door from inside takes you out to ally way where there are tables to sit and covered to block the hot sun. Games inside to enjoy while you sit back and take a break from shopping at the market. Been in winter and just as much fun to warm up and relax. Clean bathrooms and nicely laid out..
Always the first place to hit during an Eastern Market trip. The beer selection is always great and has something fresh. The yearly Pączki beer releases are a personal favorite. Also the lemon and prune varients this year were amazing! Resubmitted my review to add how utterly amazing the new pizza is. No joke it stands above Buddy's, M&T, Bob's, and any other deep dish spot locally. Seriously, good job guys.
Currently, my favorite watering hole downtown (one of several for sure). I can't get enough Elephant Juice and 313 IPA. Even better if you bring a traditional Mitsos gyro with you (across the street). The gods must be crazy putting so much decadence so close together. Book a table now
My wife and I come by weekly to play trivia with local friends. The beer is great, the vibe is chill, and the nearby food is excellent. We bring our goofy big dog along and enjoy ourselves every time. Love the garage door window, the ample seating and friendly staff.
Good place with a casual vibe. Liked the open walls and outdoor seating in the warmer weather. Blood Orange Radler was a nice, summer's day kind of beer.
Large beer selection with a variety of styles and non-alcoholic options, as well.
