My fiance and I moved to Port Washington last year and have been ordering from Eastern Strawberry for all our Chinese food takeout orders. I love their vegetarian options. They're always willing to mix different sauces with different dishes, and the food is always ready promptly. I typically order fried tofu with veggies in curry sauce with vegetable lo mein or eggplant in garlic sauce. The tofu comes nicely fried, crispy on the outside and firm on the inside. The curry sauce is really tasty, but their garlic sauce is really a gem. It's one of the best garlic sauces I've had, (coming from a young Jewish man, this says a lot!! . Give them a try, definitely get something with garlic sauce.
This restaurant was a huge letdown! One of the staff members acted as if they didn't understand English, which was clearly not the case, and the attitude of all the employees was quite unacceptable. The food was poorly prepared and tasted just as bad as the service. I genuinely don’t understand how this establishment is still in business, serving such awful food to the public. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place! I wish I could give it zero stars!
The delivery time was not accurate. I was informed it would take 30 minutes, but it ended up arriving an hour and a half later. I called twice, and both times the staff reassured me that it was on its way. When I called again, I was told that they had just started preparing it. I find this to be quite misleading and dishonest. As for the food, it was just average. Overall, I am very disappointed.
The food was extremely disappointing. What was that supposed to be? Jelly?? Do they not know how to prepare a proper dressing for their dishes? I feel like I wasted my money today, and I'm really let down; this is the first time I've had such a poor experience here. The egg rolls tasted stale and overcooked, and the dumplings were overly fried and very dry. I can't believe it!!!

Everything was wonderful: the Moo Goo Gai Pan, egg roll, boneless spare ribs, and roast pork lo mein were all exceptional. The Spicy Szechuan Chicken was full of flavor, but there was hardly any chicken; it was mostly just green peppers. They might as well have called it Spicy Szechuan Green Peppers.
The food is outstanding! I'm thrilled to have finally discovered such a fantastic Chinese takeout. The staff is incredibly friendly all the time. I highly recommend this place, and it's also very clean and well-maintained.
I didn't receive any utensils with my order, and when I brought it up, they told me I should have requested them. Is that typical?
The food at this restaurant is always outstanding! I particularly love the Chicken with Broccoli, which is dish number 49.

The wings still had feathers on them, the rice was flavorless, and the broccoli was dull.
The food is consistently delicious with each visit, and the rice is exceptional as well.
