We've been here a few times, today we have the broken rice again and it's SO good, the pig and egg is delicious. The pig is the same as in the grilled pork noodle dish, which is another favorite, and has a large mixture of fresh green. The broken rice comes with a small bowl of soup that was very tasty and delicious. Today we also had the Jenseits-Pho, which has a delicate traditional light broth (although I could not recognize star anise that is very important in phony), there was a bit too much meat, and I realized that I am not a big fan of beyond beef. Always curious about a new vegan restaurant, we wandered to Richmond to check this place out for lunch. It was a stinking hot day and we sat by the window opening out on to busy Victoria Street. My companion ordered a custard apple smoothie and I was pleased when the very friendly staff were emphatic that they did not use plastic straws, and the drink came with a stainless steel one. For lunch we chose the spicy satay chicken and the fish fried rice. With one of Melbourne's vegan Vietnamese restaurants that haven't closed too long ago, we have to appreciate those who stay, and that's my place now. Because it was a while since I was here I realized that I tried most of the menu, and I was also reminded of how large the portions are for such a reasonable price. When I came over a year ago, I was not sure about eating, but my experience has long been very positive. This time we chose a few main things for lunch: the spicy Vutton and the Easy Vegan noodles. My companion and I differ on which our favorite was. I liked the noodles with their large mix of vegetables and meat, and pleasant combination of nutty, hearty and slightly sweet flavors....
I live off Victoria St and anticipated this opening a few weeks ago. Went up for lunch and ordered the BBQ fried rice. So flavourful, I really enjoyed it and will come back with my partner. There are lots of vegan mock meats listed but don’t let that deter you. The way they used them in the dish I chose really complimented it and didn’t overwhelm it. Also for people not known to this part of Richmond, there are some fellow humans that are amongst the low socioeconomic cohort. Some noisy humans tend to hang around The Hive and right near the tram stop at the intersection. There is lots of good food on Victoria St, and you can park below Aldi and walk over. Easy Vegan has the best pho ever! The entire menu is delicious and there is so much care in balancing the flavours and making the food absolutely delicious! We are regulars and love having catch ups with Chloe who looks after all the customers. Highly recommend checking it out!
I have officially become a fan of vegan food! The Satay V-Chic Noodle Bowl with Bun Gà Sa Tế Chay was bursting with flavor and the portion size was generous. Adding the Custard-Apple Smoothie made the experience even better. I’m definitely a loyal customer from now on!
