UPDATE 8/8: Following the response to this review, I reached out to the lead manager via email. He handled the situation well, apologizing for the experience. Additionally, he offered me a meal voucher! I think the situation was handled very well, and Ilook forward to giving them another try. Food was good and everyone was nice, but I paid $19 for blackened shrimp, fried okra,2 hush puppies, and baked beans. When the server brought my food to the table, he made a comment that I wasn’t given muchokra. Very true I maybe had 5 pieces. He went to the kitchen to get me more, but was told that they were out. Completelyunderstandable. However, I wasn’t offered any other substitution. I paid an extr...

The food itself was good and the staff were friendly. However, I paid $19 for a dish that included blackened shrimp, fried okra, two hush puppies, and baked beans. When my server brought out my meal, he noted that I didn’t receive much okra—he was right; I only had about five pieces. He went back to the kitchen to get me more, but sadly, they were out. That was understandable, but I wasn't offered any alternative. I paid an extra dollar for the fried okra, and the portion was quite small. The baked beans were also minimal, with only one or two medium spoonfuls, and the shrimp were smaller than expected. Overall, while the food was tasty and the service was friendly, I felt that I received l...
I ordered a half pound of spicy boiled shrimp, along with two hush puppies and some fried okra. Unfortunately, everything was incredibly bland. When labeling something as spicy, you should at least start with some seasoning, like salt. As for the fried okra, it seemed like there was barely even one piece. This was our fourth attempt to dine here. We tried to place a takeout order three times, but no one ever answered the phone. Our "successful" visit was when we walked in to order. Even then, it took over 20 minutes to get our food in a mostly empty restaurant at 3 PM on a Saturday. My partner ordered the fried catfish and shrimp dinner, and it was just as disappointing—totally lacking in sa...
The name of this place really caught my attention. I don’t know what it is about the front menu board, but I really like it! It’s just really cool looking! The esthetic and cleanliness was above par. We did encounter a few issues during our visit BUTit was Friday night and super busy, so Id expect mistakes to happen, nobody’s perfect after-all. What really impressed me waswho I believed to be a manager, Ryan. He was so unbelievably kind and professional. He handled our issue with the utmostimportance and sentiment. He had a calmness about him that just made him seem so reassuring. The food was really good butoverall, it was the actions of Ryan that assured I would visit again. Book a table now
It was me and some coworkers that went out for lunch here on a Monday. That was a mistake. They were out of shrimp which is what half of us wanted, and they were out of the Cajun rice. The fried fish was so thin you could even taste the fish, only the seasoning. The hush puppies were over cooked. I ordered the garlic fries but didn?t realize they were going to cover them in actual garlic chunks. Way over seasoned. There was standing water on the floor next to the kitchen so of course it smelled bad too. Honestly I could keep complaining about how bad of a place this was, but I think the point has been made. There?s better (and cheaper) places for shrimp and catch fish.
The name of this restaurant immediately caught my attention. I'm not sure what it is about the front menu board, but I really love it—it's just so visually appealing! The atmosphere and cleanliness were impressive. We did encounter a few issues during our visit, but it was a busy Friday night, so I expected some mistakes; after all, no one is perfect. What truly stood out to me was the manager, Ryan. He was incredibly kind and professional. He addressed our concerns with genuine care and attention. His calm demeanor was reassuring in the midst of the chaos. The food was delicious, but it was Ryan's exceptional service that made me certain I would return.
This is a good place for fried seafood; the best part of our meal was the fried shrimp. It was wonderfully seasoned. We decided to eat outside; it was quite pleasant. The team member that brought our food to the table was very courteous and accommodating. However, on the inside the environment was not too inviting. The signage was confusing on where to order. The floor felt sticky underfoot thus factoring heavily into us eating outside. The tidiness of the dining area is reflective of management/owners and not the team members.
I really like Eat My Catfish. This visit was not the best however. Order was ready 20 minutes later than expected, I was told the blackened fish was taking longer. Then was told corn not available. The fried green tomatoes were puny compared to previous visits and tasted off. A few of the shrimp were burned. I have faith future visits will be better, yet this one was not optimal.
