Looked good in general and fell like going after reading reviews. Service was fast and good with friendly waiters. I asked for the Bauernbrat’l “Tante Wally“, but was disappointing. The food was just reheated, hard and chewy and dry. The sauce made up somewhat for it, but not a lot. The Knödel was also obviously reheated, although would have been good if fresh. The Red Cabbage was good and the bread was also not fresh enough to justify placing it on the table (at least offer it slightly toasted). All in all, disappointing and missing on the potential.

If you are looking for an authentic German dining experience, this is a great find. Typical German dishes with generous portions, great beer and wine and a warm convivial atmosphere. Ideal for couples or a large group. The service is great, and the owner and waitresses speak English, the menus are in German and English. Prices are very reasonable, and I wish we could dine out at these prices in the UK. We visited twice and enjoyed each visit immensely.

Very nice staff and friendly allround. Unfortunately our stomachs were not accustomed to the food. This was not due to the chef. Just a very interesting experience and enjoyable. The white wine was not great. Though we will not go again I would recommend it.

We were looking for some cozy food and found in Edelweiss. We came in and felt comfortable and welcome. The staff super nice and the food nega delicious. If we are back as hamburgers in the forbidden city, we will eat Bavarian in all cases, in the Edelweiss Book a table now

Very nice restaurant with good traditional German dishes and good beer. The waitress was very helpful when trying to choose a dish. Very busy/popular with lots of older locals who can obviously spot a good value quality restaurant.

This was so far my best German restaurant experience in Bremen. Wienerschitzel was super Good and I love local beers Restaurant seems to be fully booked all the time, so Make your reservation early.

Exactly what I would expect for classic German restaurant. Traditional setting, their own pils and incredible schnitzel with mushrooms. Very good service.

the food was good as the drinks! the outside seats for a nice publikum to watch spot. it is conveniently opposite the main train.
