I visited London from NS, Canada, and I stayed in the building next to the Edgar Wallace the week of the 18th. September. (over the Devereux)... One night at 9:30, I threw my head in the door to see if her kitchen is still open. A friendly gentleman said it wasn't, but what would I want to eat? You might get me something. Great, atmospheric pub perfect for down a few pints by Guardsman bitter or Hotspur ale a good choice of genuine ales and lagoons in a beautiful old pub right on the beach/Fleet Street, a minute from the Law Courts. The bar snacks are good to try, I had thick crust bread with baked beef and cheese that was delicious. Good food selection very comfortable bar area, I felt almost back to Victorian times (a too many pints maybe!

Is a rocky cold guest of a pub and one of my steps when I knock around the temple area. It was also the goal for @peteinthepub to complete its 365 pubs in 365 days challenge, so I had to dive for a few cold ones. You should definitely checkout @peteinthepub year long adventure and get to The Edgar it is a cracker!

Compact street corner pub in the legal district. Decent cask beer. Eclectic decor with 1960s and 70s cigarette adverts on the walls and real ale pump clips on the ceiling. Appropriately lid of Edgar Wallace books along the window ledge. A pleasant place to while away an afternoon.
