I'm always hesitant to go to restaurants because I travel with a service dog and more often than I have to worry about the staff that tries to distract them or talk to them home or with them and ignore me... etc. The staff in this institution has done a wonderful job. They acknowledged that she accompanied me by talking to me (not with her). Egg Harbor Cafe is a hidden gem in Downers Grove. It's situated in a bustling area with several nearby shops. The café has a warm and inviting atmosphere, featuring both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is incredibly friendly, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The food here is excellent; you can tell that all the ingredients are fresh and of high quality. The egg yolks are a vibrant golden orange, which is a great indicator of fresh eggs! I highly recommend Egg Harbor to anyone seeking a fantastic spot for breakfast or brunch!
I had an amazing breakfast experience at Egg Harbor! It was our first visit, and it couldn't have gone better. The staff was incredibly friendly, and our server, Adrian, was courteous and professional, flawlessly attending to our needs. The food was outstanding! A huge thank you to the kitchen staff for their beautiful culinary skills! Without their expertise, this place would be completely different. I give it a perfect 10/10!
I enjoyed the avocado toast with scrambled eggs and fresh fruit, and it was absolutely delicious! It felt light and satisfying. I highly recommend it. The service was wonderful; Zach, the host, was very friendly, and my waitress—whose name unfortunately slipped my mind—was great as well. I'm sorry for not remembering her name!
