Good coffee in France is difficult to find yet there is good news if you are visiting the Loire Valley. In the town centre of Amboise we noted the yellow signage of eight o'clock and on looking in the window recognised the La Marzocco machine which is always a good sign. We were not disappointed when we were served the perfect coffee by the owner and operator of the business with his great smile and welcoming persona. We went back for coffee for the three days we were in the area and every time enjoyed great coffee mixed with great conversation with local patrons of the coffee shop. Please make sure you support this wonderful small business.

The espresso was excellent.We tried coffee at some of the better known breakfast spots in town, even some allegedly regarded for their coffee quality. None compared to this place.Unfortunately there is not much for food in this shop. Stop here for an espresso on your way to a patisserie.There are two outdoor tables that are lovely for relaxing in nice weather.
si vous flânez dan la rue Nationale après avoir visité le château, n'hésitez à pousser jusqu'au numéro 103 pour une petite pause. le café est délicieux et pour ma part la dégustation du chaï tea latté maison fut une véritable découverte. Ma fille dirait que c'est une tuerie. la subtilité du mélange des épices explose en bouche mais tout en douceur. Je n'hésiterai pas à revenir dès que possible rien que pour déguster ce breuvage.
Enfin du café qui a vraiment le goût de café. Nombreuses variantes aromatiques suivant le lieu de production dans le monde. La Rolls des cafés! Impossible de revenir aux cafés qu'on vous sert dans les bars et même dans les restaurants. Bastian, le barista, est super sympa et connaît son métier et ses produits sur le bout des doigts. Vaut vraiment le détour!

Stopped by here for my morning cup of coffee after being recommended to give it a try. Not disappointed in the least! Double espresso was perfect and delicious and not so black & bitter as so much of the other coffee I've tasted in France. The owner was very nice and clearly knew his coffee. Highly recommended if you find yourself in Amboise!
Stumbled across this great little coffee shop in Amboise. It's only new, the owner was friendly and so helpful to make us a coffee just like we wanted. We specially went there the morning we left to pick up a take away to take in the car. Don't miss the bakery next door either. Delicious rolls to go.
As a Norwegian, I'm picky on my coffee - this was perfect (Oslo has tons of good places, and we are true coffee snobs.) Never seen a place where they actually weigh each dose of coffee before pressing the espresso, but eight o'clock does just that! Impressive!
Stopped in for a quick cappuccino for take away. We've been in Italy and France for several weeks and this was the best cappuccino I've had. Service was great and friendly. A bit away from the crowded tourist area so a perfect place to go to avoid the crowds.

If you enjoy great coffee, go here! Small cafe with lovely owner who speaks French and English and knows a lot about coffee. Better than in London and best we had in France.
