Oh what a night…. I think that could be a song! Well we can’t sing the praises of Eighty One enough. Cocktails to start. A sharing board made specifically to suit us carnivores and our fussy vegan friend. Then to our main. Oh what...a feast. Lemon Asparagus Risotto for our Vegan odd bod who was able to take home what she didn’t eat. The carnivores well we had Sea Bass on a bed of creamy mash. I had the sizzling fillet steak with not one but three sauces. I and my wife stopped here for the first time. I have decided to make the mushrooms sour, with my wife the egg benidict ordered my dish was a mountain of mushrooms with speck on sourteigbrot, along with two poched eggs above. it was beautiful, mouthful. the eggs of the man were very good, because not much was left on their teller. I can't wait to come back here. Thank you! I could notice if she sat on the table, the personal would take off a partition that she separated from the people next to them I felt that they really take covid seriously, and they think of their customers beautiful touch, very impressed
This was a former 4 star review from me. But in my recent visit I ordered an americano and german biscuit. It was around 4pm. The coffee was disgusting, and obviously instant. I drank it as I had the distraction of the biscuit I was...offered a top up and was given the same dross. I went to the counter and asked why I was served instant coffee. The server and girl on the till both admitted it was instant reasoning at that time of night they had no fresh pot coffee. Reputation is everything. 81 have none in my opinion.

sat with my wife and we sit right at the door while there were other warmer seats to have! must close 5 or 6 times the door! Eat arrived 26 minutes after our order! a fry and a...sandwich . both that were just around warm. Eating was just okay, but we starved this rate. will not be back! the employees were now 2 people on 4 people tables, while there were enough 2 available! sad the owners can see this!
Fresh tasty all with a smile Called in recently with my wife and wee nephew and was greatly impressed with our lunch but the overall service. I had the compulsory Ceasar Salad and found it refreshing and not just lettuce which a chicken...or bacon had been run through
my daughter and I had tee this afternoon and it was just delicious. we couldn't finish everything so we got a box to take home what had left. prosecco and coffee and excellent service from the personal. has really enjoyed the experience.
Service excellent, staff welcoming, was very busy which must be a good thing, they were able to accommodate a late addition to our numbers. Food was lovely, big portions and not hard to pay for. Will definitely be back.

I am a regular visitor to this venue. In the past food was always tasty. Service was better. In recent weeks service has gone downhill--and it is no longer as welcoming. Also food not as tasty as it used to be !!??
eating and service was ok, but do not offer replacement for meals where the party had allergies. the meal served with objects that were picked up for allergy. a waste of food and bad experience.
