Nope. There is really no good place to eat in this town. Suck it up and head to Cologne. However, if you like gelato, the Eiscafe Alessandro is quite good. While not the best gelato I have had, I must say that is definitely amongst...the better ones. Some flavor highlights were the Elderflower-Cinnamon-Chocolate and the Peanut-Chocolate flavors. Service is as expected in a little Italian cafe: Unfriendly (mostly the reason for not a score). The place was empty, it was late, cold and raining. And when we took our gelato in little cups and sat down we were told that we were not allowed to sit there while a hand pointed at the benches in the rain outside. Really? I mean, the place was empty......
Allesandro's is an excellent little Gelateria located in a charming part of Bad Honnef known as Rhondorf near St. Mary's Chapel. The owner, whom I met, is very inventive and experiments with seasonal flavors. I LOVED the pistachio gelato and also the peach and mocha...flavors! And, the spaghetti gelato plate is so playfully delicious!!!! They also make a great espresso. Being family owned and operated makes it especially warm and friendly! If you like gelato, this place is a must visit!!!!
we were in the mood for some gelato and ice cream everythingandro was a good one. we were told by the locals that this load is by far the best in the city, but was closed for the season. happy for us they were open and had. some very good pistachio gelato and other great aromen. the service was good and friendly and the gelato is very fair. find them in bad honnef!
We stopped here for a short break while moving house. Had planned only having an ice-cream, but ended up with a slice of plum cake and an ice-coffee as well. We sat outside and were promptly served. Very happy with the cleanliness and the quality...of the ice-cream, cake and drinks.

a sunny day needs gelato. cafe alessandro meets that need the gelato is standard quality (and I appreciate being very good for that in the middle of nowhere. service was terrible as they can only sit outside when they order, but not when they. take the gelato to go.
