This was a return visit after many years away. First time was back in 1989 when I first moved to Bad Homborg. Used to sit outside chatting with friends with a coffee and of course an ice cream. Either the spaghetti ice or nougat becher...were the favourties back in the day. This was the first visit back in approximately 15 years! The service is still as good as it was. The atmosphere is still as good as it was. The spaghetti ice was just as I remembered it. Unfortunately the nougat becher wasn´t as good. Slight change in recipe over the years I guess which was a shame. Lovely place to watch the world go by, and will always be recommended.
After dinner at the Italian restaurant next door, we popped in here for desert. The icecream was really good quality, from the chocolate-covered ones the kids ordered, to the excellent tiramisu and yoghurt ice with a huge variety of fresh fruit enjoyed by the adults....Good service and excellent coffee.
I was told ... Eis cafe is one of the most popular ice cream parlour in Bad Homburg and rightly so. I went their to spend some time with friends and their kid and we had a good time tasting enjoying the large number...of options available. Strongly recommended if you are visiting with kids .....
This so called Eis salon in german) is a nice spot to grab a bite to eat or relax in the sunshine and enjoy one of the goodies of the extensive menu. From Panini to Salads, Excellent. Enjoy
