HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND. After dinner, strolled around the street and randomly came across this cute vintage ice cream shop. There was really nothing to do around the area but this place made my night, perhaps even my day trip to Stuttgart. I got a small cone one scoop of the vanilla and another of the hazelnut. I did not expect the ice cream to be soooo good but this has to be one of the best I've ever had in Europe. It was the perfect amount of richness with strong flavors and creaminess. I was not only impressed with the quality of the ice cream (only €2.60) but also the friendliness of the workers. If it's a warm day or a weekend day be aware that it will seem like everyone in town is waiting in line to get a cone. That being said, the line is worth it because this place has a great selection of ice cream. I am not an adventurous gal so I stick to one scoop of After 8 (peppermint) ice cream on a cone. My three year old loves anything pink and last time we went there were 5 different pink ice creams so she's working her way through the pink flavors. The strawberry (Erdbeer) was a hit! There are a few spots to sit outside and street parking.
Ice, ice baby! This is the second best ice cream bar in Stuttgart! Pro's: Creamy ice cream, but not too creamy that it melts directly. Italian style. Great choice of flavors. A real cone. Finally. Not the cheap molded ones you get on other places. Great location. Seats and ice cream based desserts (with umbrellas and cherries and stuff... . Con's: The line is too long on summers! I want my ice cream now!
Came here to splurge on some spaghetti eis after lunch. The place was empty and the attendants were eager to help. I got what I came for and my friend raved about the Tiramisu ice cream. The only downside is that they didn't offer sizes for the spaghetti eis so I had a very large one. It went to waste as I could only eat about a third of it. Delicious still.
