The jewelry counter attendant opened my watch to replace a battery without looking first to see if it was waterproof. Afterward, she attempted to close it and, (without her knowledge) pinched and severed the rubber gasket. She handed the watch back to me as if everything was fine. The back was clearly not seated properly, and I was able to open it with my finger. When I showed her the damage, I said, You cut the gasket. This is a waterproof waterproof watch , she looked at me and said, Not any more. Personell here needs better training, or should not be performing these services.
