The food is great as is the overall vibe of the place. The open faced quesadias are very interesting and have unique ingredients. They have bar and play music. Tv's on the wall had sports on.Parking: The parking is kinda tough. It is street parking and there are very limited spaces. You might need to park at the bottom of the hill in the small municipal parking lot.
Lamb birra tacos are delicious. Lamb very tender with nice flavor. I have to eat this with fork and knife as i am mess maker with tacos. I want to scoop out all the tasty sauce. I wish for more cilantro next time, but I'm going to go back for this. Friendly people work there too. Chips ok, salsa is better and fresh.
El Barrio seems to have closed down. I live nearby and have passed by numerous times over the last two weeks. All the outdoor furniture is gone, and there are no lights on inside at any time. The phone number just goes to voicemail. It was a pleasant spot with great food. I'm sad to see it disappear.
The restaurant is closed on Mondays. I only realized this after driving there, paying for parking, and walking to the closed establishment. There was a sign in the window indicating the closure. The ambiance was lovely and cozy, situated on a quiet side street with minimal traffic. We chose to dine outside and enjoyed every moment. The food was delicious, and our waitress was incredibly sweet. I would absolutely return!
I've been coming since it opened. It is delicious and authentic! The Maduro is gold! The only thing is I wish they would have specials or alternate dishes on the menu. The cuisine of Mexico is vast and delicious.
Excellent casual meal. Had the various appetizers and drinks. The waitress Jennifer was lovely. Kind of a hybrid Mexican /Sports bar kind of place.
