Found this place whilst driving to Platja Fonda a little further on from Begur (also recommended). Tapas is varied and vermicelli prawns are a must, together with octopus and salt cod carpaccio. Kids can eat well too with child friendly burgers and chicken nuggets available. Our waitress was lovely and helped to round off a great little lunch.
Table of 12 Asked for water for elderly family member to take medication. Waiter rolling eyes on second request, he brings wine, we requested water again, brings beers, we requested water again, brings kids meal we eventually say this is ridiculous and he says to us, he has no time to being water?! Horrendous, we walked out. Attitude stinks.
2 hours wait for very mediocre simple dishes.. 40€ later, my boyfriend and I left angry and hungry! The waitress wouldn’t take our order until she attended others by order of arrival. Then she wouldnt tell us how long the food would take! Frozen croquetas, salad out a paquet, pasta sauce out of a can. Don’t bother really!
It always amazes me that a little restaurant with a small kitchen can turn out the quality of food that it consistently does. Nice place to stop off for a drink outside with the view of the castle, and a great little bar in which to watch sports during the autumn and winter. Very friendly staff.
