Local friends recommended this to us and we weren't disappointed. They recommended we get there early which was good advice as by the time we left, after nine pm, the place was packed. This on a Tuesday evening at the weekends apparently there is often a queue waiting to get in at 8:00. The food is simple but good. One of you should get a table while another orders and pays at the bar. There was only a few minutes wait at the bar for the food. Two adults, we ordered one of each of the four offerings (detailed in other reviews see photo) in a large size to share and that was plenty for us. Light eaters might want to order the small size. We finished them all but weren't unpleasantly full. Aft...

Went here for the first time in 1978 and go back every 5-6 years when we are in town. In 1978 they were playing King Crimson which tells you something! There’s only 3 things on the menu, mussels bravas, patatas bravas and fried calamares. Beer, wine and soft drinks. Only cash and you must queue to order. Opens at 8 so be there then and grab a table while someone else queues for drinks and food. Or come after 9.30, otherwise you’ll be waiting for a while. Turnover is quite fast due to limited menu. But nothing has changed, why, because it’s so damn good!

Nice setting in old room. Clearly popular with locals as they queue. No waitress service. Order at bar and stand and wait for food. In queue keep eye out for people leaving as there is no attempt to manage queue and people behind you will grab table. Servings large but ... These are not patatas bravas . They are flat chips in pink gunk. The mussels are covered in pink gunk. Overwhelms the food and, well, very pink! The calamari was good but the food was overwhelmingly just about average. Many better places to eat and better value.

It's a self service restaurant serving only 4 dishes. If you're early or lucky you might not have to wait long for a table. It's very good value and is full of both Spanish foreign tourists. I don't think many local people eat there as the food is really not special. My Calamares certainly didn't taste fresh, they might even have been frozen. The patatas bravas muscles come in a mildly spicy sauce which was nothing special. This is a novelty quick cheap restaurant doesn't deserve to be ranked No 4 in the city.
