My husband and I stopped here for a drink (10pm We were the only customers and we were served by young, polite waiter. An elderly woman appeared to be finishing tidying up she then left with a parting shot to a gentleman who we know to be the owner. (We recalled coming into this establishment 2 years earlier and vowing not to return . Unfortunately we made mistake of returning! The owner was either very drunk or under the influence of something else. Another younger woman (his wife perhaps entered the building and went through the back (I suspect alerted by the older woman that there were customers in the bar and she came from her home nearby? She did not seem able to appease this monstrous...

We always try to visit Moraima when we 're in Capileira. In fact, when staying in a neighbouring village we make the effort to go there. The opening times, as with all restaurants and bars in the tourist theme-park that is Capileira, are erratic at best. When we 're lucky enough to find it open, we don 't normally bother with the comedor , the more formal part of the restaurant, but sit down at a table in the bar area. Usually the entire Moraima family is present and accounted for, as well as many locals and visitors, so don 't be surprised it it 's a bit loud inside! You can always retire to the comedor. It has to be said, their pizza possibly has a few tinned-ingredients thrown on, but it...

We chose this as one of two options on a Monday night, as most of the restaurants were closed. We should have walked away after ordering two beers as my glass was very badly chipped. I asked the waiter for a replacement and he discounted my request indicating in Spanish 'this is how it is '. We went for a fixed menu and it started with very stale bread and the vinegar dressing was full of dead mosquitoes! The next course was a poorly presented plate of meat, which was badly cooked and basically inedible. We should have left after the beer, but as others did on the same that evening we tried to make a joke out of it. I would be amazed to read a good review of this restaurant on that Monday ev...

Our afternoon in the Alpujarres ended very unsatisfying, when we sat down here to eat a pizza outside. The place looked OK, and it was fairly busy. I had some doubts, but in this great area, how bad could it be I thought. It was worse. The waitor was polite and I kind off felt sorry for him. During our stay, the owner arrived by car and immediately and got into an arguement with a confused local. As that scene became worse in front of us, we waited and finally got a pizza that probably was the worst I ever had, and that includes frozen factory made pizza's. I decided not to eat it and to pay and leave this place. As I left the street, the Police arrived to settle the arguement. Usually I pre... Book a table now

There aren 't many choices in Capileira on a Sunday evening in late October, but this place was open, so despite some misgivings we went in, We were asked if we wanted to eat in the bar or the dining room we opted for the dining room, which was opened up for us. A few other diners appeared after a few minutes so we were not alone! We started with potaje good thick vegetable soup with chickpeas and bits of cured pork. Basic 'peasant ' food but delicious after a wet day walking on the mountains. We were craving vegetables after so much meat on previous days, so we shared a salad of gem lettuce and a main course grilled rabbit and mixed fried vegetables, plus some mushrooms. All tasty and satis...

During our visit in capileira, we had the opportunity to dine here. both the deal and the service was very good, they prepared us a fast table and both the entrance and the pizzas were quite good. price quality ratio optimal. But what I won was that three days later I called to order a dinner and I had the great detail of bringing the order to the hotel without any charge. Thank you so much for the whole franchise!

We soon found out why this place was almost empty every night. They had two big dining rooms and couldn't fill one of them, while other establishments in the village were full. The food, when it came, was greasy and a bit dull. Old granny (mother of the proprietor? was sitting at a table next to us reading; there wasn't anyone else eating in there when we visited. Not a great atmosphere and food nothing special.

Located on an open terrace on the main street of the village. The Pizza was just OK, salad very ordinary, lots of coarsely chopped, pale lettuce topped with spaghetti style shavings of carrot and beetroot, some slices of tomato and tuna. Meal arrived quickly though not a lot of effort, thought or preparation went into the food here. Book a table now

Best avoided! Poor service. Menu is expensive for what is is, owner in bad mood when we decided to just have drinks. Tapas consisted of a small amount of olives.
