I have lived in Germany for 7 years, and there is almost nothing I don't love about it. German food is impeccably fresh and flavorful. However, please, for the love of beer and pretzels, either stop making Mexican food or learn to do it properly....I, because I apparently have learned nothing in 7 years, keep trying to find a good Mexican restaurant. I regret it. Every. Single. Time. A couple of tips: Salsa should not be exactly the consistency of ketchup, and yellow cheddar cheese should not go near an enchilada. While we're on the enchiladas...spinach? Spinach enchiladas? No, d it. No. Stop it. You have spices. I know you do. I've seen them. Why they never seem to make it into your Mexican...
Die Mitarbeiter des El Chico haben leider nicht verstanden was Dienstleistung bedeutet. Ich habe mir ein Bananenweizen bestellt und bin nach circa 20 Sekunden hinter der Bestellung her um mich umzuentscheiden. Daraufhin sagte sie mir schnippisch: Ich habe es bereits ins System eingetippt. Das Getränk war aber noch nicht zubereitet, also fragte ich: Können wir das nicht noch ändern? daraufhin Sie: Wir servieren Cocktails sowieso erst ab 17 Uhr. Also fragte ich noch einmal ungläubig nach: Also wäre es nicht möglich, dass man das noch ändert? Woraufhin die Bedienung den Barkeeper anschaute und dieser total entnervt erwiderte: Nein kann ich nicht machen! und von der Bar die Treppen hochrannte un...
Ok went on a Sunday. Fajitas were good. The tortillas were cold and fajitas warm, not sizzling. The drinks on Sunday are only beer and wine till 6 pm. Not sure why. Tacos were soft flour tortillas. But they put some chili sauce on top of them. Only grilled chicken inside no cheese, diced tomatoes sadly missing and no lettuce???? Someone needs to take s class on Mexican food. But the food was good tasting and better than no Mexican food.
For anyone who has ever tasted real Mexican food, or even Tex-mex for that matter: Stay away! This place is terrible. The food is Mensa quality at best and too expensive to even think about. Why do places like this stay in business? Lack of competition? Lack of original food ideas in Tübingen? Maybe people just don't know the difference between what is real Mexican food and what is just a poor excuse.

good food, but unfortunately the waitress is really rude. while she explained that we have ordered a beer, less than what she has put on the bill, she pretended not to understand in a theatrical and very rude way to ask a friend of mine if she would understand my words. calm down, mathe is not an opinion. ask for a ride if they don't want to come in stupid discussions for minutes and minutes.
Die schöne Terrasse auf den Neckar ist schon ein Argument für dieses Lokal, leider das einzige. Die mexikanischen Gerichte sind farb- und lieblos zubereitet, das Personal wirkt gehetzt und gestresst und sehr sauber scheint es hier auch nicht zu sein (Tisch, Gläser, ...).
Not a good option of a traditional Mexican restaurant however the food is decent and the setting is also nice having a sweeping view of the Neckar River valley. I guess its good Mexican food by German standards, but if you come from California, probably steer clear.
